Most of our clients are in the US and Canada, with many also in Australia and the UK.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a mid-level Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer, Reporting to the CTO, to join our development team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our .NET-based web platform with releases delivered fortnightly.

Your responsibilities will include designing and executing test plans, identifying and documenting bugs, and working closely with developers to resolve issues.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for our .NET applications.

• Perform manual and automated testing to ensure the quality of front-end and back-end components.

• Identify, document, and track bugs using our issue tracking system.

• Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback from a QA perspective.

• Ensure that our applications meet performance, security, and scalability standards.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our QA processes and tools.

Release Responsibilities

We are a small team, so you'll be the one making the release calls, assuring us the release is ready for production. Each sprint, you'll be required to verify the build is:

• delivering on product requirements
• aligned to the Figma design (or mockup)
• scalable with production data
• do not introduce known security vulnerabilities

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer, preferably in a mid-level role.

• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

• Experience with manual and automated testing of web applications.

• Proficiency in testing .NET applications, including ASP.NET, MVC, and Web API.

• Familiarity with SQL Server and Entity Framework.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• A proactive and self-motivated approach to work.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium or similar.

• Knowledge of performance and security testing.

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

• Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

You can communicate clearly with both techy people as well as the rest of business – meaning you can explain things and not sound like you’re talking about quantum gravity (although if you can explain quantum gravity to us, that would be a fun bonus!).
